Our church supports The Leprosy Mission which is an International Christian charity with 141 years of experience serving a population of 305 million people in around 30 leprosy-affected countries. It is a development organisation that diagnoses, treats and offers specialist care, including reconstructive surgery, to leprosy patients with the aim to transform and empower the lives of people affected by leprosy. As well as healthcare, the Leprosy Mission also provides rehabilitation, education, vocational training, small business loans, housing, fresh water supplies and sanitation to tens of thousands of people each year. It provides a springboard to restored health, self-sufficiency and renewed hope. Its services are provided in the name of Jesus Christ, regardless of religion or ethnicity, promoting equality and social justice.
