Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is, as they describe it; ‘Flying for Life’, supporting Christian Missions and missionaries all around the world. Using light to medium sized aircraft they transport people, supplies, fuel, medicines and equipment. It is said that, somewhere in the world, an MAF plane takes off every 4 minutes. Many missions could not function if it were not for the support they receive from MAF.
MAF also flies in support of disaster relief after natural or manmade disasters, working alongside organisations such as Tearfund and Oxfam.
Our church currently has an ex MAF pilot (and wife) in its congregation.
